Referring clinicians

Refer a patient

The department handles both planned requests and emergencies, for the hospital itself as well as for other institutions and practitioners across the region. Here are the pathways.

Emergency

An emergency, around the clock

Active bleeding, acute ischaemia, sepsis on biliary or urinary obstruction, haemoptysis: call the interventional radiology on-call rota directly. The discussion is doctor to doctor, with no paperwork first.

04 66 68 33 10On call at all times, including nights and weekends

Planned

A planned request

Send your request through the contact form, selecting "healthcare professional", or by telephone if you need a rapid opinion. Every request receives a reply and, if the indication is accepted, the patient is offered a consultation.

Dedicated formReply within 2 to 3 working days

What it helps to include

  • The reason for referral and the question being asked
  • Recent imaging (or the references needed to access it)
  • Current medication, particularly anticoagulants and antiplatelet agents
  • Recent renal function and clotting screen
  • Known allergies, in particular to contrast media
  • How urgent the request is, and your direct contact details

Identifiable documents: please use the French secure health messaging network (MSSanté) for any document concerning an identified patient. The website form relays your request to the department's institutional mailbox, but ordinary email does not offer the same guarantees.
